Another Rogers photo: iPhone in Canada on January 18th

Another photo of some Rogers point-of-sale material for the iPhone hit the internet today. This time the launch date in Canada is January 18th. I’m still not convinced this is the real deal, but I’m getting closer. At least this time the Rogers logo looks like it is in the right place ;).

  Fingers crossed indeed! Damn the frozen winters, I’m moving over there just to get one (Kiwi launch not even looking remotely likely…).

  I’ll just have to warm myself with regular rants about the brutal Rogers charging.

  Ok, so…. This is the deal.

  Rogers has already bought the rights to the iphone, and planned to release it before christmas. Since they planned to release it before chrismas, each rogers store got a preorder of phones. I know this because I have a pre-ordered locked Rogers iPhone that I bought from Rogers.

  Rogers then got held up in releasing the phone and has thousands and thousands of Rogers iPhones stored in a warehouse somewhere in Vancouver. The new planned release date is now Late January to early Febuary.

  This is all true cause I bought mine from Rogers, for $1300, but it is not unlocked, and all features work, including visual voice-mail.
