Wonder no longer

Oct 28, 2008   //   by Pema   //   Toronto  //  No Comments

I spent some of last week working from the Rogers Center and just outside our window they were setting up for a Wiggles show. Ever wondered what it looks like to build a stage for The Wiggles? Wonder no longer…

The Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill

Oct 21, 2008   //   by Pema   //   Art  //  No Comments

I’m sure I’m late to the game on this but one of my favorite artists, Banksy, has opened a pet store in New York. The Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill is classic Banksy subversion. Check out the clip for a look around the store.

I got back from India almost 4 months ago and I’m still sorting through all of the photos and videos I shot. All that’s left now are some fun video clips that I’m slowing uploading to flickr and vimeo. Here is the latest…

Looking for a short term car lease. Can you help?

Oct 9, 2008   //   by Pema   //   GigPark  //  No Comments

Rosalynn and I are looking to lease a small car (Prius would be perfect!) for 6-10 months starting immediately. If you know a company that specializes in this type of thing, or if you are looking to get out of your lease, please let me know by posting a reply on my GigPark request (see below).

Thanks!

147 killed in Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur

Oct 7, 2008   //   by Pema   //   Travel  //  No Comments

Rosalynn and I spent 10 days in Jodhpur (Rajasthan) in June. I visited Mehrangarh Fort 3 times when I was there. So I was especially shocked and sad to hear 147 pilgrims were trampled there last week. It made me feel very strange to hear that that many people had died at a spot I’d been hanging out only a few months ago.

Reds and blues

I’m a politics junkie and a statistics junkie so you can imagine how much time I’m wasting on websites right now watching states turn from blue to red and back to blue again. My favorite is this little chart from Pollster. It’s a simple aggregation of all of the polls they deem credible. Clear, easy to read and a good barometer for how the mood is changing week to week. Hover your mouse over the dots for figures from each of the polls. Now, get back to work and stop wasting time! :)
