Mistakes
For a long time this blog was called SCHOOLBOY ERROR. I picked the name because I believe in making mistakes. I’ve made a lot of them and I hope I’ve learnt a thing or two along the way. Here are a few quotes I like about the power of screwing up:
“A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.” – George Bernard Shaw
“It was when I found out I could make mistakes that I knew I was on to something.” – Ornette Coleman
“Victory goes to the player who makes the next-to-last mistake.” – Savielly Grigorievitchid Tartakower
“An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made in a very narrow field.” – Niels Bohr
“You must learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t possibly live long enough to make them all yourself.” – Sam Levenson
“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.” – Mahatma Gandhi
“The only man who makes no mistakes is the man who never does anything.” – Theodore Roosevelt
Thanks to Quotiki for helping me find the quotes.
